Narcotics Division Patrolling Sonny’s Tonight

We wanted to at least let share with you that city law enforcement is taking the latest events in our neighborhood seriously. Thanks to them and to anyone else who has gotten involved.

I was pulled over outside Sonny’s for having expired tags. Just a normal traffic stop until I was asked to step out of my car, questioned about drugs and weapons, was patted down, and then had my car searched by 4 officers. Needless to say I drive a nice car and I’m a clean-cut grad student, probably the least suspicious person to drive past the area all night. The inconvenience was a bit of a pain, but I’m glad the officers mean business when it comes to cleaning up the neighborhood, plus they let me off with a warning. When I asked about Sonny’s Place they said they are going to be increasing police presence in the area. Overall they were all nice guys and hopefully we will see more police on the Mount in the future.

I was told that there was an arrest made for Marijuana that night and it was was apparently confirmed by the Police Department. Inquire with zone 3 yourself.
