A Mount Washington man has been charged following last night’s shooting in Carrick involving two police officers, according to a news release from the Pittsburgh police.

Ricardo Dixon, 22, was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of recklessly endangering another person and two firearms violations.

According to the affidavit that supports Mr. Dixon’s arrest, the two police officers, Shawn Landi and Daniel Soroczaka, heard shots when they arrived at the 2600 block of Brownsville Road in marked patrol cars at 10:18 p.m. They heard more shots when they exited their cars and saw Michael Thomas, the resident of the apartment police said was broken into, running down an alley away from Mr. Dixon.
