Pitt student volunteers and 11 exchange students from the Wilkins School Community Center came together to clean up various parts of Mt. Washington this past Saturday. They focused primarily on Sycamore Hill, William St. and Southern Ave.
In all, 65 volunteers gathered 150 bags of garbage! Thanks to organizer Stacey Magda and all of these volunteers for taking it upon themselves to take care of our neighborhood.

Thanks Mountain Girl! It was a lot of fun! Though the clean-up season is nearing it's end, I may be getting out there a few more times to elimate 'frozen garabage!' this Winter! I'll post as I plan, hope to see you there!
Frozen garbage and slushy/frozen street leaves are a big problem around the Mount I've noticed. I think mainly because people are too lazy to rake and pick up their yards or the landlords just ignore this issue.
Let us know when you plan this and we'll help out.
