Is it true that the District 2 City Council Seat is opening up, and any consideration to whom from Mt. Washington will pursue this position?

Hi Josh,
May 2009 is the regular city council election for all of the even districts [2,4,6,8]. To complicate matters there will also be a special election for the remaining seven-eight months of Dan Deasy's term. No matter what there is an election.
Regards,
Melissa

According to the Trib, there are five people who plan to run for the District 2 seat
Two are two from Mt. Washington:
Georgia Blotzer, 59, of Mt. Washington, a retired special education teacher
Democrat Robert V. Frank, 39, of Mt. Washington has filed paperwork to run but could not be reached for comment
