I understand the fundraiser for the MWCDC was a wonderful success. Who from the Business community attended the event? Unfortunately there seems to be some sort of disconnect with the business community and the MWCDC. You would think they would support the neighborhood they have their businesses. After all the majority of them make their money from people that live in 15211. From what I've been told there are a number of owners that did not contribute one penny to the fundraiser. Some businesses did step up without any question and not only donated but attended the fundraiser as well, others just did nothing. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I agree! In a slightly related topic, any chance of getting some of these yucky businesses out of here and replaced with vibrant businesses that don't gouge their customers or allow their premises to become desirable hangouts for folks with shady motives?
I refer to Foodland (please god let Giant Eagle Express take over) and the Cogos at Virginia & Woodruff….

If we would all start complaining to the owner of Foodland, their new, so a little more willing to please. Maybe they would listen. Cogo is a differant story. I don't understand how Cogo's still is in business, they are almost twice as much as everywhere else. I guess its just the convenience, I'm amazed at the people I see go in there that can't afford the higher prices.
