Check out this article. Great concept! This could be an excellent idea for our over grown hillsides. For the low brush any way. Might even get us good PR for our neighborhood!

That is an interesting idea. It seems, though, that someone has to watch over them, and LA has someone who is volunteering much time for this.

Jan,
I'm assuming that the person that owns the goats would supervise them while they are working. I think that it's a really great idea. Kind of unique and certainly environmentally friendly!

Wish I could take credit for the idea. I just found it on another blog and thought that it was a great idea. If there isn't anyone in the Pittsburgh area that has goats for “hire”, wouldn't that be a great idea for a new business????

Great idea. Just wondering if goats like the taste of Japanese fleeceflower a/k/a knotweed. It is so invasive and nothing I know of can kill it including weed killers, asphalting over it, burning it, etc.
