Last night a vehicle parked in front of my house on Wyoming Street was broken into. I leave my porch light on all the time. When I walked out of the house at 7:30AM I saw the glass on the sidewalk.

Who do I contact to have cameras installed on the phone poles? I would pay for the cameras, pay for the installation, pay for the electric to run them; I would like to install about 5 or 6 cameras where my houses are located on Wyoming Street. Surveillance tapes could help the police find who is doing this, and perhaps keep the street/community safer.

If other homeowners in Mt Washington wanted to do this too….. perhaps we could all get together to locate one company to install the cameras and to monitor them.

Mt Washington needs to restore our reputation of being a safe community for all to live, work and visit.

I agree with this idea. Not only would surveilence help identify a criminal after the fact, it would deter crime before it happened. Is there something our community could do to make this happen?

this is a problem everywhere in MW.. my girlfriend lives on Hallock St and had her window smashed in and car robbed and then a week or two later I saw a couple cleaning up glass out of the street on Olympia St after their car had been broken into… crack down on the junkies in the area and the petty theft will stop
