Light-Up Night : Mt. Washington Style
by 15211Advocate ~ November 15th, 2007. Filed under: Creative, Events, The View.Got an email today from Mr. Panza at the MWCDC that lead me to the VuPlus.org site. They have posted information about the Mount Wasington Light Up Night festivities.
Sounds interesting. I saw the efforts first hand the other day and think that this event will be a nice addition to the city’s annual event.
In the ViewPoint it says that there will be carolers on the corner of Shiloh and Grandview and some of the businesses will be having “Light-Up Night” specials. I’m proud of the CDC for finally doing something to capitalize on the influx of visitors the Mount gets for Light Up Night. Hopefully we’ll see them do something like this for July 4th next year.
If you’re reading this, chances are you don’t have anything better to do tomorrow night so try to make it out and support your neighborhood!

Are you suggesting that people that read blogs and message boards don’t have a social life? Ouch.

Incidentally, I think Mt. Washington should strive to be included in the “Things to Do and Places to Be” list that’s assembled for Light-Up Night next year.
There are lots of neat promotional events that can be done. Downtown has a tree-lighting ceremony. Why can’t we have one too?

Congratulations to all that participated in last nights “Light Up Night” on Mt. Washington. What a huge success! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend or help out, but when i drove through our business district, everything looked so beautiful and festive. I’ve never seen our business district look more alive! Thanks to all for caring so much about our community and trying to make it a better place!
