Light Up Night Mt. Washington style

by Mountain Girl ~ November 19th, 2009. Filed under: Community, Events.

Downtown Pittsburgh will have the usual Light Up Night events this Friday to kick off the 2009 holiday season. You can find those listed here.  (Go  here for bridge and road closures and changes to bus routes.)

BUT…

…wouldn’t you rather avoid the parking and traffic hassle and standing in line for the Incline and walk to an event right here in our neighborhood?  You’ll be able to buy some neat artsy Christmas gifts, enjoy live music and partake of food and drink specials. We’re also having a little light up of our own. The trees lining Shiloh Street have been professionally lit this year thanks to some of the local business owners and the MWCDC.

Thought the Shiloh Street Light-up Night festivities were great. We had a couple of drinks at Sonny’s. . . walked down to the Art Fair and purchased some photography . . . walked up to Grandview and enjoyed the skyline . . . stopped at Bellisimo’s for a couple of slices . . . and had a nite-cap at Niko’s. Looked as though a lot of people were out and it seemed very festive. Thanks to all who contributed.

SSB 70. I find it interesting the places you went to. Bellisimo’s ,Sonny’s, Niko’s . I’m surprised you did not go to Sloppy Joes.! But hey, you stayed on the Mount and spent your money. Thats why Mt. Washinton is so unique it satisfys everyones tastes. I, on the other hand ,prefer Redbeards or Shiloh Inn and Cestones or Foxs for Pizza.
Thank you to Greg Panza and his main street committee for a job well done!
