100th Anniversary of Grandview Park. Elegant Event. To those passionate individuals who love this park, your attention to detail, your love for your community, your love for the breath-taking view, your love for this amazing park shone like the Brightest Star in the Universe on Saturday.

The walk to the park from my Mt Washington home was lovely with the gentle breeze and dazzling sunshine. (How ever did you arrange the weather?) The elegance of those amazing Vintage Collector cars, the chamber music, the fort, the vendors, a visit from Mayor Luke and Council Persons Smith and Krause, the presentation to Don. It was like a page from a well scripted novel. There was nothing that could have made the day more perfect.

The turnout was amazing. The food was grand. The view on a pristine clear day was awe inspiring, the band stand with the most talented musicians, the new sidewalks and the handrail…well, it was wonderful.

Thank you for all your work and dedication and the passion that the committee has for restoring and maintaining this Crown Jewel of a park.

We enjoyed ourselves, had a wonderful lunch with home made desert,
marveled at the view, floated on Cloud Nine with the amazing live music, allowed our minds to wonder what it would be like to ride in one of those amazing Vintage Cars, also wondered about the people who founded this park 100 years ago. It was a cross-roads of life 100 years ago with life today. Ah, when an event that we shall fondly remember for a very long time.

Thank you everyone who made this day possible. There were so many wonderful volunteers around Saturday to give us directions, suggestions, information, and wonderful stories from the Park Lady in the Fort. Thank you very much for being so generous with your time and your knowledge. Your love and passion for this park and this city is truly an inspiration.

Thank you Thank you Thank you.
