Did ya get your tickets?
by Mountain Girl ~ July 7th, 2008. Filed under: Community, MWCDC.We just wanted to get in one more plug for this Friday’s MWCDC fundraiser party. It should be fun and all for a good cause. Oh and you can buy tickets at the door if you’re a last minute type of guy or gal.
What do you think about the cost? I’ve heard complaints that it’s too expensive or that the money might be misappropriated. I don’t believe it. I wonder if someone from the CDC could quantify how the money actually impacts our community. You know, something like:
- $25 plants five trees
- $75 pays for a way-finding sign
- $125 gets 10 kids such-and-such program at the Ream Center
It would give people confidence that they’re truly making an investment in Mt. Washington.
