From: Justin Miller
I would like to say “thank you” to all Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights residents and property owners who came out to support the Map Pittsburgh proposal this afternoon. The Planning Commission voted to approve the proposal, and has given me the responsibility of next presenting it to the City Council for a final approval. These important zoning changes are vital to the health and vitality of these neighborhoods–not just Virginia Avenue, but all the residential areas and green spaces as well. The changes that are proposed represent many months of analysis, meetings, and public commentary–all of which have been critical to the quality of the zoning map that I’ve tried to put forth.
Again–thank you not just for your support, but for bringing this discussion to a wider and broader audience than it would have been before the days of the Internet. I think that the future of public/government interaction regarding development and planning issues will be carried out via this medium, so keep up the good work!

I would like to throw the ‘thank you’ right back at Justin and Map Pittsburgh. Together we have all made a huge leap forward in Mt. Washington.
Our new tagline: Welcome to Mt. Washington’s Renaissance.
Now lets all get to work!
